CAN I USE STOCK DECK WITH OTHER SPEAKERS??

Default CAN I USE STOCK DECK WITH OTHER SPEAKERS??

I need new speakers for my 98 trans am and I wana keep my stock deck, and some people told me that i have to get a different deck to work with anything other then stock speakers??? whats up with that, is there an addapter that i can get insead?

I have Infinity Kappas all around in my SS... with the stock deck, sound AWESOME! I have 6 3/4 Components in the doors and sail panels (even though the sail panel speakers put out no highs) and i have 5x7 kappas in the rear hatch where the 4 inchers used to be... with 2 10 inch subs.. my stereo is badass. There is nothing wrong with putting in new speakers... hurry up and swap them shitty stockers!!

is there an adapter that i can get that plugs in the stock plug. the stock speakers have some wires going to them with at plug on the end, and is there an adapter that i can plug in that to plug in my new speakers???

It's just as easy to just cut the connectors off and use any connector you wish. Get some butt crimp connectors or solder the connections. Simple. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Good luck with it!
