Security light on ALL the time

Security light on ALL the time I recently had a bad weekend w/the car and it wouldn't consistantly start for some reason. It was a crap shoot and my wife and I troubleshot it down to the fact that the car didn't like her friends (it always started once they got their @sses out) My question is now the car starts everytime again BUT the security light stays on AFTER it starts and goes. I reset the PCM but to no avail any ideas on how to get rid of the light and WHY it gave me the prob in the first place? Re: Security light on ALL the time I pretty sure its the chip in your ignition key if you have a spare key try it it should go off you dont have to reset pcm just use new key or try to clean you current one. If its not the key it might be in the key hole in your ignition where it reads your key chip. Try your spare 1st then go from there.

Re: Security light on ALL the time Try sticking a small Q tip in there maybe its got dirty and is not reading your key. I have had this happen but mine cleared up and has not done it since hope it helps.
