which stereo use the sterring wheel buttons?
Yea id liek to know which stereo systems will use the stock buttons on the sterring wheel. I think alpine has one but what about kenwood or pioneer?????
I am pretty sure you always need the PAC adapter but if there is in fact a unit that will use the stock wiring for the steering wheel controls I am buying one right away...
Soundgate has an adapter for Alpine radios. This adapter connects to the brown wire on the OEM radio wiring harness and to the remote control output jack on the back of the radio.
This adapter does not require an infared sensor to be mounted near the radio. All factory controls work great with this adapter.

Just got an alpine cda 7893 and I would like to keep using the steering wheel controls also.
Where can I get one? Is there model number. Does Soundgate have a web address?
