DRL question??

DRL question?? Newbie here. My wife and I just bought a new 2002 SOM Camaro SS (#8334). I have a question about the DRLs. I found this thread on it, and plan on doing it in a little while:

Yep, the search function works. Anyway, I have a friend that has a 2001 SS, and only his parking lights come on instead of the headlights. Looks pretty cool. Neither of us have any idea why just the parking lights come on. I have another friend with a 98Z28, and his headlights come on, same as mine. Did Chevrolet do something different in 2001? Thanks!

Re: DRL question?? OOOpppps, never mind, answered my own question. I thought that the daytime running lamps were the headlights, not the parking lamps. I just disabled the Auto headlight feature with a jumper wire.
