Hooking up gauges... need a relay?

Hooking up gauges... need a relay? I'm looking to hook up my 3 gauges in my pillar... what's best:
1) to just tap in to a stock power wire and run it to all 3 gauges...
2) or should I try to find a separate stock power wire for each gauge...
3)or should I run a relay to the 3 gauges' power and use a stock power wire for the relay sensor wire?
Make sense?
