Default Window Motor

Is it the wiring or the motor itself when the window will let down but only come back up halfway. Then i wait 20 minutes or so and press the switch again and it rolls on back up. I've already replaced the switch with a new one and ti still does this. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

thats the motor, its overheating, and the thermal circuit breaker is tripping. Waiting will reset it, and you can finish raising it...

your lucky if its just 2 steps, it took me 6-7 steps to raise my window.

Yep thats the motor...Just go and buy the autoZone motors for 50 bucks a pices and install them yourself. I personally did it and I thought it was a piece of cake. The AutoZone motors come with a LIFETIME warranty also...Chevrolet can't say that.

Listen to PewterZ. It will quickly degrade to non-functional. They're not that bad to replace though.
