box dimensions NEEDED!!! hey guys i am building a box for my 98z and was wondering if anyone knew the exact dimensions for a rear well box. i am putting in 2 12"s. email me @ P_Turoczi@hotmail.com thanks a lot
Re: box dimensions NEEDED!!! Too many variables.. Do you want a ported box? Sealed Box? Bandpass? Those are the main things to think about.
Sealed = less bass but much tighter
Ported = More bass, looser
Bandpass = Even more bass but even looser, drones a lot.
Sealed average should be aprox 1.25 cubic feet internal volume. Take in to consideration magnets.
Ported average 1.75 or so
A correct band pass should be same as ported for rear chamber and front as well.
Then port dementions come in to play for tuning and things.
My advise is go to the MFG web page and see what they recomend..
