normally I don't do much more than lurk in these forums but I don't want anyone to get a speeding ticket because they think they can beat the radar guns. Don't listen to anyone that has a quick and easy way to jam radar detectors there are no devices that can jam anything except laser. all the devices you can buy now are way to low a power output. A gamma emitter that is easy to get like this one would be about 10uCi it probably wont be detectable at 10ft and i really don't think it would interact with the microwaves in any way detectable. either way I can get out some various gamma sources (some much higher than can be normally bought) and ill go find a nearby cop and see what the sources do to the gun. I guess working in the radiation safety office of Marshall U is handy for something

sr523, I'm not sure what I've got in my front fasia, but I do know that it works. A good friend of mine got me the radioactive material. The range seems to be good between 150' - 200'. All I did was make the cup and lid, and mounted it behind my front fascia. I don't need to know what it is; I just know that it works!

I have had a BEL 980 for a few years and it has performed great.. That said, I am saving up my pennies to get the new style V1.. The main reason being that it has an adaptor that will allow me to set it up on my bike to plug into my helmet!!
My BEL worked very good and has saved me many a time!! From the reports I have seen in other posts it rates usually third which considering the company is not that bad.. plus is was somewhat cheaper.. But like I said, it is about time to retire it to the wifes car and get me a Valentine..

V1 and Passport have a money back guarantee. Buy both and return the one you don't want. I personally have a V1 and you can't live without the arrows.

I'm not sure how valuable the laser feature is to most people as I don't think that laser radar is in widespread use. I'm in NC and don't think there's one in the whole state.

Straight on you can read it clearly but at an angle it looks like nothing. Only gotten 1 ticket for it (license plate covers are illegal in illinois) and got that dropped, now I have no front plate but I have it on my rear plate

isn't the Escort Passport SRX better than V1 and Escort 8500? since it is jamming laser as well as detecting laser and radar. btw, can the Passport SRX jam radar bands as well?

i have radar dectector/jammer from Rockey Mountain radar model RMR-C302 http://www.radarjammers.com any one tried it? it seems to work good with me but i havn't tried the scrambler although it is on i mean i havn't exceeded speed limit near by a highway camera? any one know how good scrambler is working on the RMR-C302? it says it scrambles all radar bands X,K,Ka and scrambles laser radar.

Anyone ever tried built-in radar? I haven't seen it in action, but a friend of mine has a 1992 Mercedes 500E and he never goes below 90 on the highway and he has yet to get a ticket. There's lights for it on the instrument cluster and it's supposed to be 360 degrees.
