Re: What does the 530t do? thats one of its functions, it will also allow roll down, and vent by remote, as well, as give one touch down from drivers door (or all switches, if you splice into pass window motor wires, instead of the wires on the drivers side for pass window)
It might also do express up, but im not sure?

Re: What does the 530t do? Actually it doesnt do roll up/roll down/ and vent with the factory remote like you would with an aftermarket. Roll up is tied to the lock output. The unlock pulse from the factory remote is a quick pulse. Just enough to vent the windows. You could keep venting until the windows are down or add a pulse timer and have it roll all the way down. You cant have the vent and rolldown at the sametime. With aftermarket you would simply press the button to vent or press and hold to roll down. Factory remote doesnt have the variable output pulses. Anyone in the Atlanta area want a free install let me know...then I could finally do a real write up on this mod. Been answering the questions for years lol.

Re: What does the 530t do? i am in the process of installing the 530t (it is raining so i have to wait for it to clear up, no garage) and was wanting it to roll the windows down with the factory alarm. how would i go about getting a pulse timmer and how would i install it?

Also, DROPTAWP has a very good write up, in a previous post, that i am following for my install, i would suggest using that one if you are planning an install. his instructions are very detailed on door cover removal and wire color.

Re: What does the 530t do? FWIW, DEI makes a pulse timer relay that will allow the 2nd-channel "pulse" on your alarm remote to roll down your windows. I found it for $15.00 HERE. NOTE: I haven't dealt with this online company before, they just appear to have the cheapest price on the unit, based on a 5-minute Google search. I plan to order the unit from them though. (Unless somebody knows where I can get it cheaper. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> )

Re: What does the 530t do? i just hooked up the second channel of my factory alarm to the roll down feature of the 530t and it will roll down the window all of the way and not just vent. i think that even though the alarm uses a pulse to activate the window motor the 530t supplies the power until the window is all of the way down. that is probably not the best technical explantion but i know that it works and that you do not need a pulse timer. hope this will help you save some money that you can use for some other mods.

Re: What does the 530t do? You may have an older one then. The current ones vent the windows one a 1 sec pulse and roll down on a 3 sec pulse. The progressive bypass sends a quick pulse.

Re: What does the 530t do? Older 530t. Possible that the place you bought it from has had them on the shelves for awhile. Ive seen it happen as some of the shops Ive worked at that didnt sell alot of alarm accessories. All I know is the older ones just needed a pulse to roll all the way down. All the newer ones (and Ive done over a 100 of them) have needed a slightly longer pulse to go down. Pulse timer isnt needed right away anyway. I got my module 3 years ago when the new ones came out. Didnt have a pulse timer cause I didnt think I needed it. Turns out I did but was lazy and didnt add it till 6 months later.
