Amp Question
I recently installed a new amp and 12" sub, my problem is that my amp keeps shuting off and if I shut off the car open the door so the radio shuts off the amp comes back on.
Now the amp has a lot of open space so it shouldn't be overheating.
What do you think the problem is?

Re: Amp Question
Sounds like you have the amps remote turn-turn on wired to the incorrect source. If you have a firebird, you can tie into the pink antenna wire. Nor sure about the camaro's. You could always tap into an ignition source (pink wire in the ignition harness I believe).

Re: Amp Question
Circuit city does horrible installs (in general).
But NO, THE REMOTE DOES NOT GET A CONSTANT 12V.
The remote turn on wire should be connected to a wire that shows +12V when the key is in the run, on, or accessory position, and 0V when the key is in the off position.
