What amp? So I just came up on 2 JL 12W0 subs in a sealed box. All I need is an amp and I'm set! However, I don't know jack on selection. I know that each one has a power rating of 125w RMS, but can hadle more.
Do I get a mono amp or bridge a 2-channel amp? Which one is better? That sticky about resistance was a bit confusing, so I don't know what amp have to get if I chose to wire the subs in parallel.

Two channel amp bridged or find a mono amp thats basically twice as big as you need. You can wire two 8 ohm subs to give you 4 ohms or 16 ohms. Your going to want to wire them to give you 4 ohms then bridge the two channel amp so that the 4 ohm load is divided by the 2 channels. Each channel will see a 2 ohm load. "Most" amps either mono or two channel put out their max power at 2 ohms. If you decide to go with a mono amp you will only be able to run it at 4 ohms and most amps put out half power at 4 ohms so get one thats say...300rms at 4 ohm and 600rms at 2 ohms. Mono amps are usually cheeper and more efficient on the electral system. Its also nice to get a bigger amp than you need incase you upgrade your subs one day.
I would go with the 250/1 by JLaudio. Since you already have JL audio subs it would look the best keeping it all the same. Or you could go with the 500/1 if you ever plan to up grade.
