Stereos and cold weather

Stereos and cold weather When it's really cold outside, say 20F or less, can you damage your speakers by running your stereo too loud all at once? Should I be warming up my interior a bit first before turning it up loud? I've always wondered this, thinking that the cold speakers could be damaged by pushing them too hard when they might be cold and brittle.

Re: Stereos and cold weather Definitely give it some time to warm up. You can tear speakers by jamming too early on cold mornings.
