Re: Q logic box look good? thanx for the heads up on the box now all i need to do is figure out whats the best cuft for my hx2's rdf says 1.25 is optimal but you cab use .8-4.0 cu ft so i am wondering if "optimal" is gonna be good for a sq\spl setup or if "opitmal" menas just best spl since it is more of an spl driver than an sq woofer

Re: Q logic box look good? I cant remember the exact sqft of my box, I basically just built it as large as I could to make it look like I wanted (a little bigger than the Q logic box). You should add Polyfill to the inside of the box if you go unde the reccomended size. 2X12 in an F-bod is going to thump no matter how small the box is.

I bought a Q logic box this summer...I am happy with it..my fit and finish is great! sorry to hear about the other's in here that had problems ..when did you order it? maybe the quality got better or something. anyways, it was like 300-350 i forget but I am happy with it and I get comments on it all the time, I also have a flip up wood cover with carpet over it right behind the seat (behind the seat, in front of the subs) that conceals my amp and 6 disk, I just took some pics of it and will post in the future ..good luck to all <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Re: Q logic box look good? I cant remember what Q-logic's looked like exactly, but I chose to make my own and save the bucks. I spent maybe 50 bucks total in materials, and saved probably $250. Was easy. Ill be selling mine in the upcoming weeks, working on a newer and improved version, in fiberglass with amp rack. Solid wood which makes for a nice tite fit and some great bass. If your interested let me know.

Re: Q logic box look good? Great job on the box Hawk... As far as the Q form box goes, with the right subs it is a great box but very pricey. Custom fiberglass done right is often more though. Your Hx2 subs would be right at home in that box providing you are getting enough real power to them. As for as space requirements that depends on the type of sound you are looking for. Around .88 cube per sub has done real good for my girls Hx2 in a sealed box. It hits hard, deep, and clear. The bigger the box the muddier the bass will start to get.

Re: Q logic box look good? Thx - I originaly wanted to buy the Q-logic one but $300 was just a bit much I thaught, so I just set out to build one myself. Unfortunately I dont really have any specs on it. I just measured, cut, fit, and cut some more until I got the fit and look I wanted.
Theres a few things I want to change about it, and a few things I want to ad, so my plans are to build a new one when the weather warms up. This time Ill make some plans and NO I have no problem shareing them. Maybe if these company's realise that people are willing to make their own then they'll drop their prices to a reasonable amount. Q-logic basicaly has the monopoly on F-Body sub boxes like this so of course there gonna charge a rediculous amount for them.
Im considering a new box, same style, but with a fiberglass type appearance.
