Default RCA Converter Help Please

i was talking to the guys that work at car toys, and they told me that i have to put the rca converter after the monsoon amp (i.e. after my rear speakers). but i just read a post in here saying that you have to hook it up before the amp!? which one is correct? i already have it hooked up behind the head unit, but they said it would eventually blow something in the future. can anyone tell me which it is? thanks

bah.. those guys don't know d!ck... if you put it after the monsoon amp, you'll be amplifying an amplified signal... i.e. BLOWING THE CRAP outta your sub/amp.. i did that at first.. blew the fuse in the amp after frying the sub.. now i have my rca conv spliced into the harness behind the monsoon deck.. sounds clean, runs smooth.. whatcha gonna blow? nothing.. it's simple electronics...
