Default sound deadening

is dynamatting the best sound deadener? Is there any other as good, and as easy to install? I have a cutou below my rear passenger seat so it would need to be able to withstand some heat.

dynamat is not bad stuff but it is very expensive. You should check b-quiet. They have a number of different levels. You can also buy it in bulk and save money. There is also rammat (not sure of the spelling there).

if you do decide to go with dynamat extreme, check it out on ebay. you can usually get 36 square feet for $99 + shipping. one thing to look out for with other brands is that they recommend more than one layer. so if you do it, there is your extra weight you thought you saved.
