Need help with HU install When I pulled the stock HU out and tried to put the new one in it was hiiting something in the back. If you look to the right of the little hook(which I will have to cut off) there is a little balck box that has 2 plugs going to it. What is it and is it ok to re-locate it?
Re: Need help with HU install That little black box controls when your headlights and parking lights come on during start up. You should be able to move those wires around to fit the head unit in. If not the box might bang against something and drive you crazy with a rattle. If you do have to move it put it somewhere where it will be stationairy.
Re: Need help with HU install snap that black hook off with your hand and then take the black box and stuff it between the radio area and the HVAC controls. tie wrap it threw the slots on the radio areas floor.
Hard to explain but easy to do. no rattles then and the deck will fit in perfect.
