Default Where is it?

I have a 2001 TransAm and have a couple questions about the CD Changer ability for it.

I was wondering exactly where the wiring harness is for the Monsoon 12 CD Changer is? I know its in the rear hatch area, and I believe its next to one of the two speakers there, but not sure which one.

Will it be just hanging down when I see it?

Where ever the wiring harness is, is there already a created place or another harness made for the CD Changer to be put in?

Can the Monsoon 12 CD Changer be only horizontal, or can it be vertical as well?

Is it possible to add an extension to the wiring harness?

Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for the help.

The connector for the cd changer is under the drivers side rear sail panel, in the trunk. Take off the rear sail panel and you'll see it. It is wrapped in foam.
