step by step guide to wire amp to factory deck?

step by step guide to wire amp to factory deck? i want to wire up a factory amp adn 2 10ns to my factory deck. can anyone post a step by step guide on how to accomplish this? i have the line converter and the amp wiring kit. i dont know where to put the line converter though? need help! thsanks

im not sure if anyone has made a step by step guide, i havent seen one. When i added a sub to my old firebird, i tapped it into the rear outputs on the headunit. I have also read of people splicing to the sub outputs of the amplifier (only if you have the monsoon system), im not sure which would be better maybe someone else can answer that. search the internet or this forum for your car's wiring diagram. your line output converer also should have came with a wiring daigram, so match those with the rear outputs on the headunit, or the sub outputs on the amp (like i said earlier not sure which is best). After that run the rcas from there to the amp, the remote wire i tapped into the ignition, so it would come on whenever the ignition came on. wire the ground wire to a good ground ( theres one behind spare tire, and one on opposite side behind carpet). Wire the power wire to the battery, to hook up to the battery tap i would get a gm battery tap adaptor like this http://www.cbrstereo.com/ProductImag...ger/GMBT_S.jpg . This will give you a good conection. To run this wire through the firewall, the best spot is behind the computer, there is a hole where the factory wiring goes through.
