They are fairly accurate as far as acceleration stuff - provided you do your run on a level road of course. Your 1/4 mile speed will be higher than you run at the track because the GTech calculates your speed at the end of the 1/4 mile, while at the trac you get a "trap" speed.
From what I understand though, the GTech is actually pretty accurate at performance increases.
Say you had whatever data from your stock car, well then you added headers and a cam, then re Gteched your car and gained 6 tenths. Well at the track you would probably see the same .6

Re: G-Tech i had the original gtech pro and at the track it was never off by any more than .05 sec. seems prety good to me. in order for it to be acurate on the street you need to be on a perfectly flat road or make a run in each direction and average the times.
the new gtech competition is supose to be soemthing like 10 times more acurate than the pro.
