Default interface with steering wheel controls questions

ok well my question is the"pac swi-x steering wheel radio control interace" that is offered on club gp.com. i saw that it operates with infrared remotes in a certain frequency range and was wondering if anyone has succesfully coupled this with one of the new alpine head units out because some friends of mine have those and i really like them but also love my controls. any input would be great

Just Duct Tape the Remote to the Steering Wheel. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

The Website for the company that makes the PAC audio adapters is www.go2pac.com Go on their website and just e-mail Tech support with your question but make sure you already have an aftermarket CD player picked out so they can make sure it's compatible.

some alpines will work with out infared, if they say it on the alpine stereo, soundgate makes a piece that hardwires the controls, the infared ones are hard to get to work because there is no where clean to mount the eye that picks up the signal

I have the SWI-x with an Alpine 7949 and no problems. You should have no problems either.
