I've not done this myself, but this is what I hear about replacing them...
They come out just with a little convincing from a screwdriver, then there's a little connector to loosen to take them out.

Re: Steering Wheel Radio Controls He speaks the truth. If you can find one in the junk yard go for it, otherwise their like 65 bucks from gmpartsdirect.com. The dealership charges too much to consider. If you take it apart and are good at soldering, you can replace the tiny LED, but thats a big pain.
