I would like a cheap but effective way to upgrade my existing security system.

I guess I just want to replace the current sensors with more sensative sensors .. I mean I want the alarm to go off if someone even TOUCHES my car ..

I'm not crazy . I'm just moving into a neighborhood that I don't trust -- and would like to protect my pride and joy.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Although it's not exactly inexpensive, you need to get yourself a 2 way paging alarm system. The system alerts the remote, which has an LCD status display of the car, up to 1000', or so they say. Every time the car chirps the remote chirps so you can come running.. Just an idea for high security.
