Possessed alarm

Possessed alarm Well the other day my alarm starts going off when it was parked on the street in front of my dorm. I just thought what an assh*le, to drive by and set my alarm off. I turned it off, and it went off again a few minutes later. I went outside all pissed off and turned it off again. I went off a third time. This time I went outside and moved it to the dorm parking lot so that the jack*ss that kept setting it off couldn't anymore. Anyways, I parked it in the lot, armed the alarm, and started walking away. I got 30 feet away from my car when the alarm went off. I was like WTF. So now I can't set my alarm without it going off a few seconds/minutes later. It did it again at my friend's house when I tried to see if it wouldn't go off. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
Re: Possessed alarm Intermittent problems are pretty hard to diagnose. Is this the only time it's ever happened? And if so, what are the odds one of your buddies might have grabbed your spare remote, and decided to play a prank on you?

Re: Possessed alarm HA HA funny j/k. It has only happend that one day, and I haven't used my remote to set my alarm since. My other remote was in my desk in my dorm room next to me, so I know that theory is out. I used it to turn my alarm off that day too.

Re: Possessed alarm Mine did that and it was a short in one of the wires. I thought it was the sensitivity level, and i couldn't set my alarm for a long time, you might have to pay to have someone look, it might be a short in the wires, good luck
Re: Possessed alarm Did it rain that day? I had that exact problem every time it rained. Finially went to the dealership to have them look at it. When the pulled the shock sensor out of the car, a good tablespoon of water drained out of it!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> It turned out that water was getting inside it (humidity and from opening the hatch) and shorting it out. They changed out the sensor and I have never had another problem with it since.
