Help Build My New System
Help Build My New System I have decided that I can't take the Monsoon any longer. Even though my car is not a daily driver I want to give it an appropriate sound system. So far I have purchased the following items.
4-Infinity Kapps 67.7i speakers (2 are already installed in the doors)
1- Driver side stealth sub box that goes in the well where the CD Changer goes (subthump).
1- Passenger side stealth sub box. yes, I realize I will lose my spare tire. (subthump)
1- Extended Amp rack that hangs on the back inside of the hatch area (subthump)
1-HUMount
For the subs I was planning on going with 2 10" JL Audio 10w3v2-D4 subs.
For an HU I'm not sure if I want to go NAV or not. I think NAV is cool but that adds considerably to the cost and to be honest I don't take my Z out very often so other than the "cool" factor I'm not sure how much I would use it. I like JL audio amps as well but I'm not married to them or to the subs at this point.
I listen to classic rock mostly. Some dance and yes, even some Disco (I'm old so sue me!). I like good clean hard hitting bass not sloppy thumping. I'm looking for suggestions on subs, amps and HU's. I also must have a hard wired conenction for my Ipod. My car is an 02 Z28 just in case my user name did not give that away
Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
