problem with stock 12 disc changer
problem with stock 12 disc changer i have a 2000 camaro ss. it has the monsoon system with the cassette head unit and the 12 disc changer. recently my disc changer would cycle through all the cd's n then get to #1 and insted of loading it would say ERR on the head unit. i figured it was bc the cd changer was old (97) and so i got another one but i have the same problem. it goes through all the cds n then wont play and just says \ERR. is my head unit really the culprit here or am i missing something>? thanks for the help in advance

Have you tried different cd's in there, maybe one of the discs is bad. Also with some disc magazines, the cd's are supposed to be loaded upside down. Maybe a loose cable on the back of the headunit that goes to the changer.
i tried different cd's, as for cables out of the back of the head unit i didnt look into that but usually they seem to be in tight so i duno, guess thats worth a shot. n yeh i do have all the cd's upside down
