AUX input for 99

AUX input for 99 I have been reading the threads in preparation for hooking up a direct connect for an mp3 player, and I see there was a change in '99 that affects how you do this. How do I know if my '99 was built before or after this change?

If your 99 has a cassette head unit then it will work. If it's a CD head unit then the only way to know if it will work is to try it or to open it up and look at the stamp on the CD drive circuit board. The difference is if the head unit can control an external CD changer. If it doesn't support a changer then you can't use the auxiliary adapter.
The CD circuit board that supports a changer is stamped E-8276A-1. The CD board that doesn't support a changer doesn't have the "A" (i.e. E-8276-1). Pictures of the board are in this post.
