Default factory remote keyless entry

this happend a while ago. but when i go to lock my doors the lights flash but the horn doesnt. it use to do it. anyone have any ideas?

you sure all doors/hatch are closed? battery could also be getting weak...

It may just be programmed for only lamp verification. You can program the "Remote Keyless Entry Verification" five different ways. The information is in your owner's manual under "personalization" and is also posted here.

all doors and hatch are closed. it just started to do this about a month ago. can it change itself?

Yes, sometimes an oddity like that can certainly happen. As 98z said there is a bit of a warning in there if a door or hatch is ajar at all, it won't honk.

So if the programming isn't successful you might have a weak contact / pinswitch somewhere.

where is this sensor at in the hatch area and can i purchase it from the dealer?

The hatch ajar switch is attached to the hatch latch mechanism with a screw. The part number is 16608045. But I doubt that the switch is the problem - the way you described it the alarm is still setting properly it just isn't honking the horn. That indicates a programming issue because it wouldn't set properly if the hatch switch was faulty.

BTW, I assume that the horn works otherwise and it's not just a bad horn relay causing the problem.
