How to enter radio theft code

How to enter radio theft code I know my unlock code but I forgot how to enter it. (Had battery out) I did a search but all I found was what to do if you don't know the code. thanks

My manual says:
Turn ignition on
Press MN and 000 will appear
Press MN again to make the two digits appear with your code
Press HR to make the first one or two digits appear with your code
Press AM/FM after confirming the code
Display should show SEC, indicating it's operative again
It's under "theftlock" Never bothered setting a code in mine.

4th gen?
Try this:
IT WAS PRETTY COMPLICATED!
1. turn on ignition
2. press minutes button and hold until the last two digits of your 4 digit code is showing.
3. press hours button and hold until the first two digits appear on the display.
4. now your entire 4 digit code should appear on the display
5. press the AM/FM button and that should (and did) do it.
All must be done quickly or you have to start over and if you try too many times unsucessfully, you have to wait a few hours before trying again or some such nonsense
