Default JL SW6 separation

So my two JL SW6 10 inch subs decided that they wanted to separate the cone from the foam surround. Is this fixable? One has a torn foam surround, but the other isn't torn, just separated from the cone where it was glued from the factory.

TIA

Have you contacted JL? You may be able to send them back and have them re-do the surrounds for you.

Aside from that I've seen speaker repair kits on ebay that have new surrounds that you can do yourself, but it may be difficult. I've never done that myself.

Any speaker shop can re-do the surrounds. Look for one in your area, its relatively inexpensive

If you find a shop to redo them, tell them to use neoprene.

Why not butyl rubber?
