question about stock deck

question about stock deck will a cd player from a blazer work with the monsoon? I have a brand new CD player that was never used in my blazer before i replaced the stereo. WOuld this work with the monsoon in a camaro?

i know it has the brackets, and it will fit, but there appears to be a cooling fan on the back, i guess for its amp. My question is, how will it work with the monsoon amp/wiring? I beleve the tweeters ran off the radio in the monsoon

The Monsoon head unit is just an ordinary Delco radio so you can substitute any GM radio that fits the opening (there are a few exceptions for newer model radios that have OnStar or other additional circuitry).
The tweeters in Firebirds run off the head unit, all speakers in Camaros run off the amp. But this doesn't have anything to do with the head unit - it's all handled by the wiring in the car.
