ALternator Question. Help Needed! Ok, my car seems to be driving fine. When night comes and my lights automatically come on I notice that they dim out and brighten up with engine rpms. I also notice the voltmeter in the car flickers a bit with the rpm's aswell (at idle and while driving). I can almost feel it in the car. During the day it isn't as noticeable. I can still sort of feel it, and I can still see the meter moving. It is a slight movement, but I notice. I am thinking it is the alternator. Am I correct in my guess? I am afraid of being stranded on the side of the road because of this. It is getting worse. The car seems to charging fine. The problem does not happen with the motor off. Before I take the alternator off I figured I would ask here.
