Default HU Installation

Just purchased the JVC KD-G720 to replace the monsoon hu. The place I purchased it from said that the rear mounting bracket would have to be removed or cut off. I'll cut it off if I have to but I'd rather unbolt it to reuse should I need to put the monsoon back in.

How hard is it to unbolt? Also, is there anything else I need to be aware of before installation?

Thanks for your help!

just cut the tab off, it is a hard plastic. The monsoon will still fit back in no problem

btw, i normally use pliers and break it off. I have heard stories of people using air saws (which would make it super easy) but the needles on the gauges shake loose.
