Camaro Monsoon in a T/A
Camaro Monsoon in a T/A Will the Camaro Monsoon cd radio work in a T/A? The T/A is a 98 and the radio is a 98-2002. Will it control the 12 disc too? I know the speed sensitive volume won't work in a T/A but Just wondering if it is a plug and play set up otherwise. Thanks

It will physically fit and will plug right in. There are differences though...as you said, the speed sensitive volume won't work because the T/A doesn't have the speed sensor wire in its harness. They look very different - the Camaro radio is black with black controls and blue/white illumination, the Firebird radio is dark gray with gray controls and red illumination. Also, the Camaro radio doesn't have the graphic equalizer that comes on the Firebird units.
Whether it will work with a CD changer depends on exactly what model year it came from. Prior to 2000 (actually late 1999), the CD head units could not control a changer - only cassette head units could.
