Default Ignition to ACC= weird stuff...

Ok, like the title says..Ive been having problems with my stereo/windows feature when Im driving periodically. Im pretty sure its the RAP system in association with the BCM? I know a lot of people are having similiar problems, but today when I was finishing up washing my car it got worse. I turned the ignition back to accessory and the radio turned off, the seatbelt light would flash at the same rate as the door ajar beep or bell would go off. At this same time there would be a weird ticking noise which I think is coming from behind the gauge cluster or behind the radio?? The beep/bell would go off randomly and the radio would not come on? Any ideas to where I can search for this problem or fix it? When I put the ignition to start before I crank it, it is fine, besides the radio...

ps..Ive heard people saying there is a ground wire under the drivers side kick panel. Any chance that I need to check there? Sorry for the long post, but I dont want to take it to a mechanic or dealership yet.

I would check the grounds under both driver and pass kickpanels, as well as the main power feed from the battery to the underhood fuse panel, and the battery terminal.

I assume your car starts and runs fine ? It almost sounds like a dead or dying battery.

It sounds like a problem with your BCM. Everything you mentioned as a problem (door ajar warning, RAP, radio power, seatbelt warning) is controlled by the BCM.

There is a ground bolt under each side of the dash behind the kickpanels but I doubt that's the problem since everything in the dash grounds to one or the other - you'd have other problems like no gauges, etc.

loose or bad grounds cause all sorts of wierd things to happen.

In my wife's z28, once had a loose ground on the passenger side that made the blower motor not work, everything else was fine.

In my car, a bad ground on the driver side caused the odometer to be very dim, but other guage lighting was fine. Also , the right turn signal would pop the hatch. Boy, I was sure scratching my head trying to figure that one out!

Alright I appreciate the help, must I remove the whole kick panel and other surrounding plastic panels to get to it? Im going to check both drivers side and passenger side grounds tonight. Any other grounds to check? Thanks again
