No, it's probably the battery. The alternator isn't involved unless the car is running. If it discharges while sitting then either the battery needs to be replaced (most likely) or you have something drawing power even when the car isn't running that's draining the battery.

The car has been through about 6-7 new batteries within the past 3months. The battery just dies when I don't start up the car in just 2-3 days.

Six or seven new batteries in three months? Man, I would have been looking for a problem after the second one. At least they should all be under warranty.
You should use an ammeter to check for unusual current draw with the engine not running. If you see an abnormally high current draw then start disconnecting accessories or unplugging fuses to narrow down what's causing it.

You can get a DMM that will handle about 10A and then just disconnect one of the battery terminals and run the meter in between. Close the doors and let it sit for about 5 mins or so. Then the DMM should tell you the current draw. My car draws 20mA. If it's much over 50mA or so, then something is drawing too much power and is running your battery down.
