Need experts help!!!! Radio no worky!!!
Need experts help!!!! Radio no worky!!! Ok here is my setup Clarion cd player, crossfire 4 channel amp , boston acoustics all around, 4 gauge power with digital volt meter, and stinger rca's.
I have had this setup installed over 6 months without one single problem, but now Im having MAJOR problems. Here is my story.....Driving one day listening to music at reasonable levels, and all of sudden I hear like a slight popping noise and lost all sound. I pull over and check all fuses, circuit breakers, and any lose connections by the amp. Everything seems fine. Turn radio off and back on, and now I have dimming lights (interior and exterior), the volt meter (dash) goes from 14v and drops around 11v and bounces, the volt meter on power line bounces from 11v to 13v, if the heater is on it will also bounce ( meaning Full power and cuts down), same with the motor idle bounces. I have also noticed the power light on the amp is not fully lit, and dims out. Now Im getting a whining noise coming from under the hood. Im thinking possible belt slipping causing voltage drops, or alternator going bad. If thats the case why is there no sound
