Default monsoon skipping issue

everytime i hit a bump my cd skips, or if my cd is kinda scratched it will skip. im tired of this problem. seems as if the player just is a little slow at reading the CDs and it just needs a good cleaning. are there any good cleaning methods? anyone have good results. i'm just not really ready to replace it just yet.

lol well scratches usually = skips

Get a laser cleaner/adjuster CD. They're like $5

im not talking about deep scratches, thats quite obvious i guess i should have said that if there are any imperfections on the surface of the CD it will skip. i also know that there are cleaning CDs out there. i just havent heard if they work or not. i would like for someone who may have had the same problem i have, and what they did to clean the player to reply with any help
