Replacing stock stereo.... help
The installer used parts of the factory harness instead of running new wires, we were able to get most of that all fixed.
The front speakers, however, are not working. We could not find where they cut into the factory harness from inside the car (only the cut at the speakers) so we tried splicing the wires that came from the speaker to the x-over directly onto the harness at the head unit. this has not worked....
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? we are stumped.... the rear speakers work fine, as does the sub.
BTW this is the factory bose system, only the front 2 speakers have their own amp from what i can tell.
Thanks

am i fine with just one wire... should i raeattach the other wire on the harness... could i have cut the wrong grey wire....
it works with either grey or tan wire, but not both...
stereos and me = teh lose
Assuming an early fourth generation f-body, all speakers in the Bose system have amps. The subs share an amp and the front speakers each have their own amp.
Here is a wiring schematic for the 95 Bose system: http://shbox.com/1/bose_wiring.jpg. That might help you get it all matched up.

I need to find the amp in mine.
