Question Monsoon CD changer

Are all Monsoon equipped cars also wired for the 12 CD changer unit? If I start pulling up some carpet in the back, will I find a wiring sub under there?

All Monsoon equipped F-bodies had the CD changer cable already installed whether or not they actually had a changer. You will find the cable under the left hatch trim panel taped to the speaker harness.

That doesn't necessarily mean you can just plug in a changer and it will work. If you have a single CD head unit then only late 99 and newer models supported the changer. For 99 there's no way to tell if it's an early or late model without opening up the head unit.
