Anyone convert mp3s to aatrac?

Anyone convert mp3s to aatrac? How did they sound after the conversion? I'm thinking about getting a sony mp3 player. The thing is, it converts everything to aatrac then loads it. You get a lot more songs on it, which is great. I also have a sony car stereo capable of playing aatrac. I can get the songs converted by the software for the portable player (hate to call it an mp3 player when it doesn't play them), then burn them to cd and load it to the stereo, thereby getting a lot more songs on the car stereo as well.
