looking to get a cap. but dont think is worth $200 for a rockford at bestbuy, so i went to walmart and found a scosche for $80, both are 1 fared, i know ill pay more for the name at bestbuy but i dont wanna get a piece from walmart either...

anyways, why are you thinking about a capacitor Pewter? most people do not know if they really need a capacitor, and end up wasting money...

or keep the cap and get a higher output alternator.
a cap helps when you need amperage very quickly...a battery nor an alternator can keep up with the electron flow/demand of a quick deep bass note. For this reason some brands such as PPI have a extra bank of caps (used for storage not filtering) built right into the amp.
