Hu Question

Hu Question I know this is a question that has probably got asked before and ill probably just get a 
but i was reading through quite a few posts and just want to know; if i replace the factory Hu with an after market one will i need to bypass the amp or will everything still work fine?? All in a 2000 z28

(couldn't resist)Actually, that's all covered in the Monsoon FAQ thread at the top of the forum. No, there is nothing special about the Monsoon head unit - the amp and speakers are what make the Monsoon system unique - it's just an ordinary Delco radio and you can replace it just as you would replace any GM radio.

You just need to acquire a GM 88+ harness adapter and wire it up to
your new HU by color, and plug the other end into what
came out of the monsoon unit. The harnesses usually come
with the wire function printed on them these days. Very straight forward.
