help

Help!!! I have a Jl 250/1 amp pushing 2 12" Jl W1's. I'm now on my third optima battery. Deceided it's time for a capacitor. What size should I get?

with a 250 watt amp there is no reason whatsoever for you to be going through batteries like that. You might want to check into an alternator or something...could also be a parasitic draw problem

i got a yello top and a little cap and it works real good! but yall you might want to check that stuff 1st!

I've heard a good guideline is .5 farad for every 500 watts you run. I used to run a 500/1 off of my stock battery with a 1 farad cap and it worked great.

Don't waste your time on a cap. That's not your problem. Buy a digital multi meter and start checking your power draw with everything off. Have the alternator checked as well. What voltage does the battery have at idle? Is the alternator putting out what it should?
