CD Changer eject problems
But it sounds like the limit switch that senses when you open the cartridge door to initiate the eject sequence is faulty or has come loose. It should not be too difficult to fix.
If you have friend who's good at tinkering with electronics, have him take a look at it. The switch in question should be fairly easy to identify.
If you can glean the part number (often ink-stamped on the part) you can probably find an exact replacement on the internet. Or, chances are it is a common enough type of switch that you can just remove it from the unit and take it down to Radio Shack or an appliance/electronic parts store and hand it to the clerk and get a usable replacement with no sweat.
Your other options are: A) Take it to a professional (Dealer/repair shop) and pay to have it repaired. B) Buy a replacement. or C) Make do without it.
My guess is buying a used replacement would be cheaper than taking it to GM dealer. And I am not sure if GM dealers even do electronics repair (I doubt it). I'd think a competant local stereo/tv/appliance repeair shop should be able to fix it for under $50 or so.
