Default Aftermarket Alarm Options?

I have not looked at alarm systems for a long time. I don't have a stereo, or anything that I'm concerned about being taken out of the car, I want to protect the car itself. I understand it's tough to deter the flatbed method, and I like what I hear about Lo-jack. I was just wondering what is out there now that would prevent the theft, and aid with recovery? Not overly concerned with price, I just want protection.

you could go with lo-jack, or you could get a clifford or viper alarm with GPS tracking. (It is an add on to most 2way alarms)

Yes, the GPS is my thing.. I'm all about the recovery. Any way to find out who is faster at recovery? Lo-Jack says with their early warning system, you will be notified up to an hour from when the car was moved. They can get pretty damn far in an hour. My home alarm calls me within 5 minutes.
