Mounting Component Crossovers Hello All-
I have a set of MB Quart components I'm putting in the front of my Camaro. I'd like to show off the crossovers on my rear amp rack.
My question is, is it a bad idea to mount the crossover in the rear of the car even tho their speakers are in the front? I know it'll require a lot of speaker wire, but that doesn't bother me much. They're pretty large and I'd like to just keep them in the rear on my amp rack. Thanks in advance....

You can do it, if you don't mind running the wire. I personally like to install mine under the passenger seat, so they're not too far from the speakers, and still easily accessible for changes. You'll really be doing the same wire run...if you have the amp in the back and the crossovers up front, you'll have to run the input wires from the amp to the crossovers, and if you have the crossovers near the amp, you'll still have to run the wires up front to the components.
