Default !DRL.... now headunit won't power up.

I recently did the DRL delete following the the http://www.xse.com/leres/ss/drl.html instructions. I didn't notice any probs at first then I tried to play the radio. The headunit button lights will come on when I turn on my parking or head lamps and will adjust with the interior lighting switch, however the headunit lcd will not show anything nor will the power light activate, the unit play music, eject the cd or even spin the cd. I checked the 15 amp radio fuse, it was fine as was all the fuses inside the vehicle. I then checked constant power line & the ignition power line at the harness and they both had power. Thinking the !DRL mod caused the problem I took my bridge wire and extra solder off the board. The DRL's came back but still the headunit won't work. I wouldnt even mind seeing LOC on the display but it won't show anything lol

I've searched the forums but no luck as to what I have overlooked or caused here. The connector's are plugged into the radio tight, the wires are in the connectors correctly & none of the connector prongs are bent. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. I hope I've overlooked something that can be fixed easy or I just have horrible luck that the radio died when I was doing a mod.

Car: 2000 SS w/ monsoon , no cd changer, factory headunit.

Thx,
Jason.
