I was in the same exact situation.....radio was on while working on the car and then did the same thing.....I would charge it and it would work for a hour then go bad.
battery had a bad cell......try a new battery

Your battery is dead... or you just need a jump. At least that's the dance my guages made before i jumped it, afterwards drive it around for 10-15 minutes to recharge, you should be good (unless it's time for a new battery).
my 99 t/a does the same thing. it has done it since i have gotten it about 2 years ago. it pisses me off, because i cant ever keep up with my miles per tank. just figured i'd add on to everyone else's problem also.
