Stereo Upgrade... Pt I
.. I am 110% satisfied, so far.. I stick the crossovers in the door pocket. I need them to sit straight and flat. I'll figure that out eventually. The tweets also need some TLC to get them to sit flat. I'm gonna super glue the bezels to the pillar. Hopefully that will work. What was done-
-New Memphis MCSYNCC6 6.5 FT Speakers in front w/ tweets mounted in A-Pillar.
-Older FT Speakers mounted in side rear
-New RCA Cables
-New 4ga Power cable. Completely rerouted
-Re mounted Amp
-Re wired FT Speakers. My Own wiring. NOT Factory.
Soon to come-
-Dual 7" Touchscreen DVD Player
-Kenwood 800x4 Amp (as soon as I find a place to mount it, it's in)
-New Memphis FT 6.5 2 way Coaxial
Pics... I thought I had a pic of the interior COMPLETELY ripped apart. Floor carpeting and all! -To route wires.. Oh, Did I mention these speakers sound AMAZING!!! I had my Pioneer DEH-P6400 juiced up all the way and NO distortion! I can't hear my EXH over it!

On a component setup, they can be mounted separate. Why do you think high end cars mount their tweeters on the door panels up top? I will have coaxial 2 ways in the back. As soon as I get a new set. The current speakers are shot.
Having them up where they are, adds a whole new dimension of sound. I wanted the Infinity components, but they are xpensive. But the crossover allows me to dial my tweeters +\- 2db or so.

Do a little research if you think I am wrong, But I guarentee it would sound better if you mounted the tweeters as close to the woofer as you could.
