Alittle Audio Help Please? I just bought alpine type R 2 way coaxial 6.5" speakers, they are 4ohm speakers compared to the stock 2 ohms speakers. But I hear the stock speakers are not very effiecient compared to some aftermarket 4 ohm speakers.
I just want to be sure that these speakers will work well with my car. I'v read some of the stickies at the top of the page but I'm audio illiterate.

only thing you should think of is replacing all the speakers with 4 ohm speakers, but then you will realize there is too much rear fill that way. Replace the fronts with 6.5 components and the center sail panels with 6.5's components but only the woofer, install the tweeter in the very rear panels. THis will balance out your sound. All the speakers are wired in a 4 ohm load.
I plan on replacing all the speakers but I dont have enough $$ for all of them right now. In a week or so I will be able to get the center speakers.
